We have a problem in America. Our federal government is spinning (has spun) out of control. Our freedom is at stake, and we must come together and work diligently to take back our country. Each of us must find the way we can best bring about change to our government to protect the freedom we have and to reclaim the freedom we have lost.
This month marks the 1st anniversary of when I launched FireSaxby.com, an attempt to get Saxby Chambliss voted out of office. The concept is an easy one – raise awareness about bad representation, encourage constituents to hold their representatives accountable, and point voters to better choices on the ballot. The Saxby site has been a huge success, and earlier this year, I launched FireJohnny.com, a sister site to FireSaxby.com, aimed at removing our other horrible Senator, Johnny Isakson, from his Senate seat.
Over the past few months I started wondering if there is something more I can do to help improve our representation in Washington. My Senators are only two of many, many bad Senators. What if there was a blog – or a network of blogs – where voters in each state could blog about their Senators? Over the past few weeks, I’ve been finishing up the development of that concept, and I’m excited to announce the launch of FireSenator.com.
I have setup a blog setup for the bad Senators, and as more Senators prove themselves worthy, there will be a FireSenator.com blog for them as well. I’ll be recruiting people who live in the states these Senators represent to get active in holding their Senators accountable and to encourage other residents of their state to do the same.
If you would like to contribute to your Senator’s blog, just let me know. There’s a contact form on the FireSenator.com site, or you can email me directly (ron at uphold liberty dot org).
I hope you’ll join me, whether as a contributor or as a reader, in holding our Senators accountable to Constitutional principles; and when they fail us, I hope you’ll take the initiative to find and support a candidate who will fight to protect and restore our freedom.
