Here are my Weekend Reading links for this week.
Americans Decry War on Drugs – some interesting statistics on the War on Drugs. The one that stood out the most to me was that 2/3 of Americans believe the war on drugs has been a failure.
A $1 per pack cigarette tax increase failed. Finally, something sane coming out of California.
How Ron Paul Grows the GOP. Money quote from Jim DeMint: “If Republicans don’t understand the important aspects of what Ron Paul is saying, we won’t be able to exist as a party, certainly not a majority party.”
Bad news for both Romney and Obama: nobody likes either of them.
Obama says he’ll portray Romney as extreme libertarian. One of the most ridiculous things I read all week.
The Atlanta Business Chronicle suggested Tom Graves for VP. I like Tom, and he’s usually one of the sane voices in Washington, but I’m not sure he’s the best pick for that role.
